Couture "Bill Blass" 1960s Silk Party Dress w/ Huge 3D Silk Peonies

Truly, one of the most spectacular and detailed pieces to ever enter my orbit, this beauty came from the estate of a professional violinist who traveled the world. I truly don’t even know where to begin with this piece. The amount of detail is just mind blowing.

Deepest midnight blue light-as-a-feather silk custom 1960s couture party dress with huge silk peonies. Hand detailed throughout. Back hidden zipper with hook and eye closure, and additional modesty panel if you’d like to cover more of the back.

The skirt is lined in silk organza. The bodice is lined in silk. Huge pleated balloon sleeves and large cuffs with 3D peonies. Hand sewn large hidden snaps in the wrists. Tailored fitted bodice, nipped defined wasp waist. Extremely full circle skirt with the most intricate micropleating around the entire top. Very dramatic silhouette. The silk is feather-light. The dress itself is an extremely dark midnight blue. I would love to know the places and things that this dress has seen, it’s just phenomenal.
