Original 1950s "Claire McCardell Clothes by Townley" rich tartan plaid wool with velvet details day dress / party dress with McCardell's signature gold metal grommet closures up the front bodice, side metal "Seco" zipper. Matching velvet belt. Hidden hip pockets. A gorgeous example of the designs that Mccardell is known for.
