1970s "Goldberry of San Francisco" Custom Made Soft Lilac Silk Velvet Cape w/ Hood
Goldberry of San Francisco was opened by Margie Rogerson in 1967. It was located in the Haight and she designed silk velvet opera capes, later turning the boutique into a jewelry shop. Her clients included Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell. This is a beautiful example of one of her capes. The softest silk velvet in a soft warm lilac. Huge hood. Closes at the neck with a large toggle closure. Large sweep on the actual cape and lined in the same velvet. A very special piece, perfect over evening gowns, cocktail dresses, or even with a casual pant ensemble.
