The fact that this piece is missing its label absolutely kills me! One of the most spectacular, and may I say sexy, 1940s gowns I have ever seen. Sumptuous inky black silk with the most gorgeous painted floral motif of large bouquets in vibrant chartreuse, golden yellow, with accents of crimson red. The flowers are either mimosas or dracaena. This beauty features a high straight across the boat neck line, intricate ruching on the shoulders, beautifully draped dolman sleeves, a sinfully sexy completely open back, a nipped defined wasp waist, and a curve hugging slim long skirt with sexy front slit and draped panel from the abdomen. Horizontal pleating on either side of the draped panel on the abdomen, extremely glamorous looking. The back of the gown buttons up with round fabric covered buttons. I personally have never tried on a 1940s piece this curve hugging, it is extremely sexy. Very next level, tailored beautifully. A definite statement piece that is sure to turn heads.
