My latest Butch Wax Vintage Original design, the “Bette Dress.”
Pure cold rayon color-block draped beauty. Fully lined in the same rayon with a back metal zipper / hook and eye closure.
1940s inspired, after a dress that my grandma Bette is wearing in a photo that I have of her from the 1940s. I wanted this piece to be incredibly easy to wear and comfortable while still looking completely chic. Wear it with strappy sandals for an adorable daytime look, wear it with some babydoll heels or platforms for a vampy nighttime cocktail ensemble.
Completely one of a kind, custom made to order by our personal seamstress using old world sewing techniques here in San Diego, California.
