1940s Russian Sable Fur Swing Coat
Old Hollywood glamour at its best. A lifetime piece. It is widely known, Russian sable is the most desirable of furs. This is based upon its incredible softness, rarity, light weight, durability, and distinct shimmering silver hairs in a sea of vast chocolate brown, almost black. This 1940s Russian sable fur beauty is in impeccable condition. Fully lined in chocolate brown silk embossed with roses. Huge portrait collar that can be worn fully up or down. Wide cut long sleeves. Flared trapeze swing silhouette with hidden hip pockets lined in silk. The tag inside reads “Makoff Salt Lake City.” The Russian sable is extremely soft and supple, zero dryness or brittleness. Rich dark chocolate brown, almost black, with that signature sable sheen with occasional flecks of silver. The look of stable is so incredibly soft, much more than mink or any other fur. They truly is nothing like it, and there’s no wonder why it is so desirable.
Pristine condition
Fits many different sizes due to the roomy swing cut. Accommodates up to a 44” bust, and 42” total length. I’m a modern US 4/6 and it’s fitting me very nicely as well.
What else is there to say, this piece simply speaks for itself. You cannot get any better.
