1947 New Look Candlelight Cotton Sateen Bridal Suit
For the bride who craves something extra special and unique...
Late 1940s true new look era bridal suit perfection. Custom made out of heavier weight glowing candlelight cream liquid cotton sateen. Hourglass painstakingly tailored jacket and high-waisted beyond circle skirt with huge inverted pleats. The jacket has a pointed turned over collar, buttons up the entire front and cuffs with round fabric covered buttons and button loops, is beautifully princess seamed, has dolman sleeves with subtle shoulder padding, and a beautiful wasp waist. The skirt is high-waisted and closes up the side with hidden metal snaps and hooks & eyes. The waistband goes into a point at the abdomen and the entire skirt is huge inverted pleats all the way around for optimum fullness- larger than a complete circle. Such a gorgeous unique suit, the most iconic “new look era” silhouette, and definitely something that are few and far between these days. Would be perfect for a bridal ceremony, a bridal reception, or as a honeymoon going-away suit!
