Antique Handmade Chartreuse Silk Japanese Nagajuban with Flying Cranes
100% of this sale will be donated to "Stop AAPI Hate." Stop asian hate, stop all racism. Enough is enough.
Gorgeous antique Japanese acid chartreuse silk nagajuban sourced by me on my travels to the beautiful city of Kyoto, Japan. Unique motif of flying cranes. Throughout Asia, the crane is a symbol of happiness and eternal youth. In Japan, the crane is one of the mystical or holy creatures and symbolizes good fortune and longevity because of its fabled life span of a thousand years.
Hand stitched throughout. Believe it or not, this stunning beauty was made to wear under an actual kimono. Nagajuban or “juban” are the underwear that you would wear under a traditional kimono. This piece is fully lined in cream silk with a cotton lining at the collar. These are wearable works of art meant to be treasured with the utmost respect. Vinyl obi belt not included.
Size: One size fits many. Fits up to a 48 inch bust closed, 51 inches total length.
