Designer 1950s “Cahill of Beverly Hills” Wedding Dress
When it comes to mid-century luxury bridal wear, one name stands out above the rest, “Cahill of Beverly Hills.” Founded in 1946 by William Cahill, he originally studied architecture before turning to fashion design, and his structured yet romantic approach became a signature of the brand. His designs were known for couture-style construction, imported fabrics, and their especially intricate lacework. This 1950s beauty by him couldn’t be more perfect if she tried. Original 1950s new look era pure white tulle over satin, hand embellished in floral lace wedding dress by “Cahill of Beverly Hills!” Fully lined in white satin, back metal zipper with hook and eye closure.
Gorgeous portrait neckline with the natural floral edging of the lace casing your bust line, sheer floral lace sleeves, shelf bust design, fitted pleated satin midsection, nipped defined wasp waist, and of course that signature extremely full circle skirt that is comprised of three layers of tulle over satin. Simply put, the quintessential 1950s bridal piece, she is just perfect.
Mint condition, looks unworn, size small. Accommodates a 34” bust, a 26” waist, free hips, and 50” total length. Here’s the thing, if you are absolutely in love with this piece but slightly bigger than the measurements, not to worry. Most likely this was a custom-made piece, and there is ample seam allowance on the inside bodice. This piece could probably be let out a good 2 inches from the bust and the waist.
