Exquisite 1920s Chinese Silk Hand Embroidered 2 Piece Lounging Set w/ Huge Spider Mums

When certain vintage pieces are so incredibly hand detailed, so impeccably made, they totally transform into something else altogether- they truly become wearable works of art.

That is definitely the case with this set. Original 1920s seafoam green pure silk two piece chinoiserie lounging pajamas set, completely embroidered by hand, with huge spider mums floral motif in cream silk thread. I have seen these sets before, and this one truly rises above the rest. First off, it’s in pretty much impeccable condition. So structurally sound, no shattering to the silk or embroideries, so soft and luxurious. The jacket top is lined in butter cream silk as well, and fastens up the front with black silk traditional frog closures. The inside lining is all hand stitched. Wide dolman sleeves and wide boxy fit, so comfortable and glamorous looking. The wide leg palazzo pants are adjustable at the waist band and tie on the side hip.

Realistically, these are so beyond gorgeous, you could wear them out to an event as well, they are not just pajamas. Black silk piping with intricate cream silk embroidery. Huge spider mums on the front and back of the jacket, the sleeves, and on either side of the lower pant legs. I mean really, it does not get better than this. The ultimate in vintage luxury.

Size: Medium to large. On the jacket, the bust can fit anywhere from 34 to 43 inches, on the pants the waist can fit anywhere from 27 to 42 inches, the hips can fit up to 58 inches, there is a 16 inch rise, and the total length of the pants are 40 inches. I am a US modern size 4 to 6 and I am 5’7”. These are not pinned on me at all, they are meant to fit loose for optimum comfort and lounging.
