Late 1950s Woven Wool Oversized Plaid Dress Coat w/ Fox Fur Trim

Original late 1950s woven wool dress coat with the most luscious black fox fur collar and wide glove-length sleeves! Fully lined in golden satin, closes up the front with oversized black faceted glass buttons encased in gold. Hip pockets. The perfect hanging straight cut with dramatic wide cape-sleeves. So chic. The oversized plaid pattern lines up perfectly. The color of the coat is a rich mustard yellow, very unusual. The plaid is a deep midnight blue that appears almost black with electric green. I’ve never seen another one like this, that’s why I have held onto it for so long. The silhouette is so couture inspired. I would say this is definitely a lifetime piece, it’s just so beautiful and wearable.

Model is a modern US 4/6 for reference and 5’7” with a 34D bust. Accommodates up to a 40 inch bust max closed, up to 44 inch hips max closed to hang correctly, and 42 inches total length. Of course it can be worn open buy a larger size as well.
