Rare 1940s Custom Made Silk Hawaiian Sarong Dress w/ Flying Fish Print

Absolutely unreal 1940s Hawaiian silk sarong cocktail dress in rare FLYING FISH print!! Not gonna lie, completely losing my mind over this one. The perfect print and silhouette! A rich, deep coral pink-red silk with waves in various shades of pink and white, with of course the heavily saturated and detailed flying fish! This is truly a vintage treasure to behold. A holy grail in the Hawaiiana world.

Adjustable reverse halter tie neckline. Side metal zipper with hook and eye closure, the entire bodice is lined in nude cotton voile with a built-in boned bra that is adjustable with hook and eye in the back. Nipped defined wasp waist and that perfect wrap sarong pencil skirt that cascades down the hip and ties on the side hip. I’m telling you, this piece is the absolute best, I am incredibly tempted to keep it.

Excellent condition, literally appears unworn minus one small water mark in the back that isn’t noticeable from the outside, only underneath.

Size medium. Accommodates a 36 inch bust, a 28-30 inch waist, free hips, and a skirt length from the waist down is 32 inches.
